Your coaching package includes 5 one-on-one sessions, to be held over the course of 10 weeks, as well as supplementary video and reading material. Sessions are typically held every other week.
All sessions must be used within the ten-week duration of the package. Any sessions not used by the end of 10 weeks will expire.
Your coaching package is non-refundable. If, at any point, you need to take a pause in your package, you may do so for up to one month. Once the agreed-upon pause interval has lapsed, your package will resume and these policies, as well as all other terms and conditions, will apply.
You may pay for your package in full, or in two payment plan installments. You may make your payments via credit card, PayPal ([email protected]), Venmo (EllenAllenMusic), or by check made out to Ellen Allen Voice and Coaching.
If you purchased a voice lessons/coaching combo package, your package subscription will renew each month. It is recommended that you set up autopay for this subscription; however, if you do not wish to set up autopay, you may pay with any of the options listed above. Once you complete your ten-week coaching package, you will have the choice either to renew your combo package, or adjust the package to include voice lessons only.
One-on-one coaching sessions are 60 minutes in length and can take place either on Zoom or in-person.
Once you purchase your coaching package, you may book your one-on-one sessions at your convenience, using the booking link provided at purchase. Sessions may be booked up to 8 hours in advance.
If you have purchased a voice lesson/coaching combo package, then your coaching sessions will be pre-populated in the calendar and there is no need to use the booking link.
You may renew your package after ten weeks, if you wish. In that case, these policies and terms and conditions will apply.
You will receive automated appointment reminders for your sessions via email. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please use the links in the email reminders to do so.
Sessions may be rescheduled if they are cancelled up to 24 hours in advance, availability permitting. Sessions not cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice will not be rescheduled, refunded, nor credited toward any future sessions or packages.
If I have to cancel your session, I will provide a time reschedule.
If you have any symptoms of illness, and/or if there is an active covid case in your household, please refrain from attending your session in-person. In these cases, you may do your session online.
Please note that there is no exception to the 24-hour cancellation policy for illness. If you are too unwell to attend your session and were not able to cancel 24 hours in advance, we will arrange an asynchronous session over email or video, which you can complete when you are well.
In cases of inclement weather, all in-person sessions will be moved online. Rescheduling will be permitted only in cases where an online session is not possible (i.e., due to a power outage).
If you arrive early for your in-person session, please wait outside or in your vehicle until it is time for your session.
If you experience difficulty logging on to your online session, please text or email me immediately. If I do not hear from you nor see you in the Zoom waiting room after 15 minutes, you will forfeit your session.
Minor technical difficulties are inherent to any online video platform, so any time spent resolving such difficulties will not be made up nor credited toward future sessions.
Studio singers may purchase either a four-lesson or a six-lesson package, to be used over 60 days. After purchasing their package, singers may book their lessons at their convenience, according to studio calendar availability.
All lesson packages include the following:
Four or six 60-minute, one-on-one sessions, according to the client's purchased package
All single-song sheet music purchases
Practice tracks
Access to the studio online scheduler
Eligibility to compete in the annual NATS student auditions
A personal Google Drive folder containing all your lesson materials
Exclusive studio resources such as warm-up videos, practice aids, and how-to-guides
Students may also purchase drop-in (single) lessons, each of which are paid at the time of booking.
Four-lesson package: $450
Six-lesson package: $595
Drop-in lessons: $125 per lesson
All packages are purchased through Acuity and processed via Stripe (credit/debit card) or PayPal.
The studio is unable to accept alternate payment methods at this time.
Studio events, such as classes and recitals, as well as in-studio audition recording and customized performance projects, are available for a separate fee.
Studio classes: $35
Studio Recitals: $50
In-studio audition recording (1-hour session): $45
Event fees are paid at the time of event registration and are non-refundable, except in cases of group events where the participation quota is not met and the event is cancelled.
All lesson packages are valid 60 days from the date of purchase. After purchasing their package, students book their lessons at their convenience, up to 24 hours in advance, according to studio calendar availability. Lessons may be in-person or online.
All lesson packages are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
All lessons in the package must be used within 60 days of purchase, including lessons that student wishes to reschedule. Lessons not used within 60 days of purchase will expire and cannot be refunded nor credited toward future packages.
Students may reschedule their sessions with 48 or more hours' notice. Lessons cancelled fewer than 48 hours in advance will not be rescheduled, and will be considered used whether the student attends or not. Use the pink buttons in the email appointment reminders to cancel or reschedule.
Students may purchase a new lesson package at any time. You do not need to wait until you have used all of your current package, nor do you have to wait until the end of your 60-day package to renew.
The studio does not hold weekly/recurring reserved lesson times; rather, students book their lessons for the days and times that work best for them, according to studio calendar availability. The studio is under no obligation to provide a specific day and time for a client's session, nor is it under any obligation to provide availability outside of what is indicated in the studio calendar. Studio availability is always subject to change.
If I have to cancel a scheduled lesson due to illness, emergency, or unforeseeable conflict, I will provide availability to reschedule.
Students should refrain from attending their lessons in-person if they are contagiously ill. Singing is a highly aerosolized activity, and germs can spread quickly. If you have any symptoms of illness, please opt for an online lesson and return to the studio in-person when you are well again.
Please note that there are no exceptions to the 48-hour cancellation policy, even for day-of illness. In these cases, you should opt for an online lesson. Even if you are unable to sing, there are many non-singing activities we can do to have a productive session, including music theory, character work, dramatic analysis, repertoire exploration, body work (i.e., a deep dive into posture, alignment, and breathing), performance anxiety coaching, discussing new practice strategies, and more.
If you are not well enough for an online lesson, then we will arrange an asynchronous option. In place of a lesson, you may send me a 2-3-minute video or audio recording of your singing (when you are well again, of course!), and I will listen and provide feedback within 48 business hours. This asynchronous exchange can be a valuable opportunity to absorb information and feedback at your own pace, and implement new techniques on your own time.
If you arrive early for your in-person lesson, please wait outside or in your vehicle until your lesson time.
If you have technical difficulties signing on to your online lesson, please text or email me ASAP. If I do not hear from you or see you in the virtual waiting room within 15 minutes of your lesson start time, I will assume you are not coming and your lesson will be considered used.
In cases of inclement weather or other circumstances that prevent an in-person lesson, lessons will take place virtually.
Payment is due at the time of booking. The fee for a dramatic coaching is $125 and covers the session only.
Dramatic coachings can be scheduled up to 24 hours in advance and rescheduled up to 48 hours in advance. A session may only be rescheduled once.
If you are not currently enrolled in a voice lesson package, you are responsible for obtaining your own sheet music and accompaniment tracks, and providing me with these resources in advance.
